It is impossible to worry and trust God at the same time. Worrying is
dangerous for many reasons: one of them is because it is a form of unbelief.
When we worry, we doubt God’s love and His ability to come through for us.
“Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every
circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests),
with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace,
which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your
hearts and minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7,
AMP).
Think that everyone worries? Not so! It is not true that everyone
worries. Many people live worry free, choosing to trust God instead. You were
not designed to carry the worries and cares of life yourself.
Living worry-free is simply a decision. You can choose to stop worrying
and enjoy peace instead.
How to stay worry-free:
1. Isolate the specific worry.
2. Recall or discover what the
Bible says about the situation/worry.
3. Choose to believe what the
Bible says.
4. Thank God for being faithful
to His Word.
- Reject all temptation to take back worried
feelings.
- Reject every worry by thinking
immediately of God’s promise and His character.
Apply this principle to every minor care and every major concern, and
the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your heart and
your mind.
Confession: I choose to trust God. I will pray and give
Him praise instead of worrying today. Thank You Lord for Your peace that guards
my heart and mind.
