Wisdom To Win

Author : Jerry Savelle

God has a way to get you out of trouble. God has a victory plan for you. God promises to be the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding you need in your situation.

So how do you tap into that wealth of wisdom?

If you need wisdom to make good choices and overcome obstacles, ask God. The Bible tells us that He wants to give wisdom generously who ask in faith.

“If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or fault-finding, and it will be given him. Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering” (James 1:5, AMP).

Wisdom is received from God in exactly the same way as anything else is received, by faith. First, meditate on this verse until know on the inside that God is going to give you the wisdom you need now.

Simply ask Him for it and believe that you receive it. From that moment, you have all the answers and understanding that you will ever need. Even if you still feel confused, thank Him for giving you the wisdom desired.

If wisdom is not apparent two seconds after you ask, do not waver, but rest in the fact that God has answered your request. As you continue to thank Him, read His Word and rest in the fact that you know what to do, the answers that you need to get you out of trouble will come.

Confession: Father, I ask for wisdom and believe that You give it to me liberally. I ask in faith, believing that I receive, refusing to waver.

The Lord Is Able and Most Willing - Pastor Joseph Prince

Matthew 8:3
3Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed

When you see someone receiving a miraculous healing or financial breakthrough, do you ask, “What about me, Lord?” I believe that the leper who came to Jesus must have asked the same question.
He must have heard or seen from a distance, since he was not permitted to be in public places by the law, how Jesus had healed the sick. So he had no doubt that Jesus could heal him, but he was not sure if Jesus would. He said to Jesus, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” (Matthew 8:2) He was confident of the power of God, but not the love of God for him.
Like the leper, maybe you don’t have a problem believing that God can give you your miracle, since He is Almighty God. But you are wondering if He will do it for you. My friend, let Jesus’ actions and answer to the leper settle this question once and for all. He stretched forth His hand, touched the leper and said, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately, the leper was healed.
I want you to notice that Jesus touched the leper. He could have healed him from a distance with just a spoken word. He had healed others this way as in the case of the centurion’s servant and the Syro-Phoenician woman’s daughter. So why did He touch the leper?
Jesus knew that for so many years, the leper had been cut off from his family and society, so he must have been feeling dehumanized. I believe that Jesus touched him to make him feel human again, to make him feel loved and accepted again. His touch was His love language to the leper.
Can you see God’s heart of love here? Can you see how much He loved the leper? That is how much He loves you! The day that you come to know God’s heart of love and believe that He wants you blessed more than you want to be blessed is the day that you receive your miracle!
Beloved, catch a glimpse of God’s heart of love, and you will believe that He is not only able, but also willing to make you whole!

Spiritual Laws

Author: Jerry Savelle

Just as gravity is a physical law, God has set in motion spiritual laws that are just as real and just as sure.

Even though God’s will is that you be fruitful, blessed, healed, and prosperous, there are some prerequisites to obtaining these things.

Just as God created physical laws such as gravity, He also created spiritual laws that are just as real and just as sure.

God’s physical laws can be found in a physics textbook. God’s spiritual laws can be found in the Word of God.

If you want to find out why you are not fruitful, blessed and prosperous, just look in the Book and see what the conditions are.

Once you begin to see these laws in the Word of God and to put them into effect in your life, they will produce the desired results.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success” (Joshua 1:8).

The spiritual law in this verse is simply: Talking the Word + Meditating the Word + Acting on the Word = Prosperity, Dealing Wisely, and Success.

I have used this spiritual law in my personal life and ministry, and it has brought about great results. You can get the same results when you apply spiritual laws.

Confession: I make a quality decision today to study the Word of God concerning my areas of need. Holy Spirit, I ask You to reveal to me the spiritual laws that I need to clearly see and to be able to take the victory in these areas.

Salvation and Your Words

Author: Jerry Savelle

The word salvation refers to: safety, health, prosperity, deliverance, and soundness.

Romans 10:10 says, “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

The Word says, with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. If you are only silently believing, don’t be surprised if nothing happens.

Jesus has already given you complete salvation, but the level of salvation that you actually experience depends on you. You can do nothing to earn your health, prosperity, or deliverance, but you can do something to make it manifest in the natural realm.

Once you believe in your heart that Jesus has already given you these things, it is necessary for you to speak out into the natural realm the truth concerning your salvation. As you speak to the natural realm, the natural realm will change to come in line with the truth that you believe in your heart.

Many people believe in their heart but don’t see salvation manifested because they neglect the second part. They don’t speak it out. If the Word says with the mouth confession is made unto salvation, don’t be surprised if nothing happens when you are silent or even worse, you speak contrary to the Word.

Do what the Word says to do and you will get the results the Word says you can have. Speak out what God says about your trouble today and see the victory

Confession:

I choose today to speak out and agree with God regarding the salvation that is mine in Christ Jesus. I declare that I walk in divine health every day of my life, I have an abundance of finances, and I am whole in my mind, will and emotions.

Diligence

Author: Jerry Savelle

Diligence is a key to obtaining blessings from God. Let’s look at some scriptures that deal with diligence.

“The hand of the diligent will rule, but the lazy man will be put to forced labour” (Proverbs 12:24).

“The lazy man does not roast what he took in hunting, but diligence is a man’s precious possession” (Proverbs 12:27).

“The soul of a lazy man desires and has nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich” (Proverbs 13:4).

“The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty. But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty” (Proverbs 21:5).

“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ” (Colossians 3:23-24).

Diligence is a prerequisite to seeing your victory.

Diligent people always make a steady consistent effort to accomplish their goal.

Diligent people never give up.

Confession: I decide today to always make a steady, consistent effort to accomplish my God given goals and never give up. Whatever I do today, I will do it diligently and joyfully as unto the Lord.

Grace and Strength

Author: Jerry Savelle

Grace is the strength and power of God that enables us to do what He tells us.

Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. The Amplified Bible says, I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].”

How do you access this inner strength? By accessing the grace of God.

We are told in 2 Timothy 2:1, “Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 13:9 (AMP) says, “It is good for the heart to be established and ennobled and strengthened by means of grace.

The grace of God is the only thing that is going to give you inner strength. No amount of self effort and determination is going to release that inner power.

So how do we tap into the grace of God and the inner strength that we need?

Romans 5:2 informs us that we have access by faith into this grace.

We access the grace of God by faith!

To get out of trouble, obey God, and stand firm in the midst of opposition, access grace (inner strength) by faith today.

Confession: I access the grace of God by faith right now. I believe I receive supernatural inner strength to do what the Word tells me to do. I am not moved by how I feel, because His grace is on me right now.

Determination!

Author: Jerry Savelle

How determined are you to do what it takes to connect with the life and power of God?

A great example of determination can be found in Matthew 9:2-6:

Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus. When He saw their faith, He said to him, ‘Man, your sins are forgiven you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.’”

It is evident that these men had heard about the ministry of Jesus, and believed that if they could get their friend into the presence of Jesus, he would be healed.

Just knowing Jesus could do it was not enough. They had to be determined to do whatever was necessary to get their friend into His presence.

Jesus saw their faith by their determination to get to Him, even if it meant ripping up someone’s roof. He saw their determination to connect with the source of life and power.

How determined are you to get into the presence of Jesus? How determined are you to take the time to meditate in the Word of God and allow God to speak to you?

If you feel too busy to spend much quality time in the Word, you may have an overcrowded life.

However, when you get determined to connect with the life and power of God, you will do whatever is necessary to get in His presence.

Confession: Father, I thank You for wisdom today to adjust my schedule so that I can spend quality time with You. I determine to keep You as the highest priority in my life.

Free From Fear

Author: Jerry Savelle

You cannot afford to allow fear into your mind or your heart. It is a faith destroyer and opens a door for the devil to work in your life.

Fear activates Satan, just as faith activates God.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Fear is the substance of things dreaded.

Faith is a spiritual force that works for you; fear is a spiritual force that works against you.
“Whom shall I fear, of whom shall I be afraid” (Psalm 27:1)?

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear” (1 John 4:18).

Perfect love casts out fear. Meditating on the love God has for you is an excellent way to stop fearful thoughts. If you find it hard to believe anything else, believe and have faith in His love for you. He is your loving heavenly Father. All His plans and intensions for you are for good and for blessing.

Fear of failure is a common fear. Know this, a God of love would not ask you to do something without giving you the ability to succeed! However, fear of failure will activate the devil and cut you off from the resources that God has for you.

Keep your heart free from fear and draw on the grace and resources that He has given you by faith.
Faith comes when your eyes are opened to truth in the Word of God. Find out what the Bible says about your particular fear and meditate those key verses. As faith rises in your heart, fear evaporates, and you close the door on the devil.

Confession: Holy Spirit, I ask you to expose any fear in my heart. I choose to combat every fear inside me with the Word of God and fill my heart with faith.

Come To Me

Author: Jerry Savelle

If your yoke is not easy and light, it is not His yoke!
You may have prayed, “God, say something to me that will pull me out of this depression, discouragement, and hopelessness.”

Well, I’ve got some good news for you. Jesus sees how you are feeling right now and He says in Matthew 11:28, “Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me. For I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”

The Amplified Bible says, You will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.

Jesus obviously wants you “up.” He wants you set free. He wants you delivered.

He says He’ll even give you recreation. You’re going to have some fun. You are going to learn you can have joy in every situation.

When you come to Him you will learn the truth about your situation. The truth that, as you stand on His Word, God is going to give you the victory.

With that revelation you will be able to walk through any situation with joy and hope, knowing how it is going to turn out.

Confession: Father, thank You for loving me. I know that You have already given me the victory in every situation and I await the manifestation with joy.

Act Fearlessly!

Author: Jerry Savelle

Fear is a spiritual force. It is one of Satan’s greatest tools to get an open door into your life. It could manifest through the fear of not being good enough, the fear of lack, the fear of rejection, the fear of failure.

Satan will try to intimidate you through words, actions or external signs. But none of those things can become a reality or come into manifestation until you act upon them.

Negative or fearful thoughts may come into your mind, but you can refuse to meditate on them and chose to immediately reject them. Circumstances may appear discouraging, but you can refuse to let go of your confidence and faith in what you know about God and His Word.

If you respond in fear and act on intimidation, those fears can become a reality in your life. Fear will bring things to pass just as faith will. Job said, “The thing which I greatly feared has come upon me” (Job 3:25).

The devil can not do anything that he wants to do anytime that he gets ready to do it. If he could, why would he have to deceive you first? Satan is limited when he can’t get you to act on his threats through fear.

1 John 4:18 (NIV) tells us, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear…” And we know from 1 John 4:8 that God is love. Run to God, spend time with Him, act on His Word and fear will have no place in you.

Take courageous steps of faith and you will see God move in your life in amazing ways!

Confession: I refuse to fear! Regardless of how I feel or what my circumstances look like, I will stand in faith on God’s Word.

The Pressure of Trials

Author: Jerry Savelle

If you have been under the pressure of a trial, it is important that you do not blame the trial on God. God is not the author of trials or heaviness of spirit. Jesus came to bring you abundant life—it is Satan who is out to kill, to steal and to destroy (John 10:10).
James 1:13 tells us that temptations, tests and trials are brought on by Satan, not God. Satan is the tempter; he is the one who brings condemnation to you. He is the one that brings the heaviness, not God.
God wants you to know that, because Jesus was your substitute, you can endure anything Satan brings against you. If you will follow the instructions in His Word, you will come out on the other side of that trial like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did: untouched, unharmed and totally protected. That is when you bring glory to God – when you are a winner.
God is not glorified when His children are beaten down, beggarly, and suffering. Even though Satan will bring situations to you and try to steal the Word of God out of your heart, you can bring glory to God when you take His Word and resist the devil until he flees (James 4:7).
You are a testimony that God’s Word works. You are more than a conqueror through Him. You bring glory to God because you approach every situation knowing that Jesus was your substitute and that He has already given you the victory.
Confession: Thank you Jesus for abundant life! I refuse to blame God for the trials in my life. I will stand on His Word and see the victory in every area of life!

The Central Truth Of The Bible

Author: Jerry Savelle

The substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus is the central truth of the Bible. Everything else you read in the Bible must line up with that central truth.
The moment you read something in the Word that looks as though God brings trouble against His children, you need to go back to that central truth. If it doesn’t line up with the central truth, then you should simply ask the Holy Spirit for revelation.

There were times when I would run across a situation in the Old Testament and I would say, “Wait a minute! That contradicts everything that I have learned about God.” I said, “Now God, You told me that You were not the one who did that, but right here is says plainly, The Lord shall smite thee.” That was when I went back to the central truth. The central truth is: Jesus was smitten (bruised) on my behalf. Jesus bore those things for me.

The Bible says in Isaiah 53 that He bore our grief and carried our sorrows. He was wounded for our transgressions and was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him and by His stripes we are healed.

That is the central truth upon which you can base everything in the Word. If it was the will of God that Jesus be bruised, then it can never be the will of God that you be bruised. If it is God’s will that you be bruised, then Jesus was bruised in vain. If Jesus was bruised in vain, then the substitutionary sacrifice did not work, then Romans 10:9-10 has no power. If Romans 10:9-10 has no power, then you and I are still lost.

Jesus was our substitute. We can base everything around that truth. Because of what Jesus did at Calvary, God has provided us with everything we need to take the victory every time.

Confession: I believe Jesus paid the price for all sin, sickness, disease, distress, and destruction. I will live in freedom and victory knowing that His sacrifice on the Cross was enough.

If You Are Willing and Obedient!

Author: Jerry Savelle

“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land” (Isaiah 1:19).
If you are a doer of the Word then you are willing to act. In other words, you are prepared to do the Word. The Bible says that a doer of the Word will be blessed in all he does (James 1:25). He will eat of the good of the land.

If you’ve ever flown on a major airline, you’ve most likely read one of the magazines they have placed in the seats for the passengers.

I read an article once in one of these airline magazines that said something like this: “You’ve got to be willing to be successful.” Then it said, “The man that only does what he is paid to do, is only paid for what he does.” In other words, if all you do is what you are paid to do, and you are not “willing” to do more, then all you will ever get paid for is what you do. That is exactly what Isaiah said: “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.”

Many Christians want to do just enough to get by; they don’t like responsibility. I have noticed that those who carry the greatest loads are also the ones who seem to be the most blessed. Why? The reason is because they are willing. Many people want to be successful, but they are not willing to do what is necessary to obtain success.

Once Jesus’ disciples were arguing with one another about who would have a place of prominence with Him. Jesus answered them, “The chiefest is the one who is the servant to all” (Mark 10:44).

When you have a willingness of mind to be servant to all, then you are going to carry the heaviest loads. The one who carries the heaviest loads is going to reap the greatest rewards. Peter proved that. He became a servant to every man, and God made him a chief apostle.

Confession: I am willing and obedient to do the Word. I’m not looking for shortcuts to success or ways to do the minimum necessary. If I see an opportunity to serve others, I will do it with a cheerful and willing heart.

Perfect Peace

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” (Isaiah 26:3).

You will notice that God has given us a promise, but we must meet His condition. The promise is: He will keep you in perfect peace. The condition is, if your mind is stayed on Him. The mind plays a vital part in you walking in perfect peace no matter your circumstances.

I’m not talking about mind power. I am talking about the power of God’s Word working in a faith-filled heart and a renewed mind.

As you renew your mind to God’s Word and fill your heart with faith, you will begin to approach every situation in your life without worry or fear.

“And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well” (Luke 12:29 & 31, NIV).

Your mind can not be full of negative voices, worry, or fear when you keep your mind on God. It is a choice you have to make, regardless of your feelings. Put God first place in all you do and think and you will walk in perfect peace.

Confession: I will keep my mind on God and full of His Word. I refuse to allow worry or fear to be a part of my life. I trust You Lord and follow after You above anything else.

Defining Yourself!

“Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.” - Matthew 16:24

Do you feel like you have found yourself? What’s the ultimate meaning for your life? Why do you exist?

One of the most common ways we seek to find ourselves is through achievement and success. We live in a very driven culture. And it is passed down to our teenagers from their parents that drive to succeed; yet tremendous achievement can still result in restlessness.

Another way that people seek to find themselves is though education and knowledge, and there’s no doubt that education and knowledge can enrich our understanding of life. But even with incredible academic success you can still feel you are missing the ultimate answers to life.

And then there is work. Many of us understand what it’s like to have the pressures of work and how all consuming it can become. Oftentimes, we let our work, our “professions,” define us. Yet, in the end, we struggle with emptiness within.

Still others seek to find themselves through relationships. Of course, meaningful relationships are a key to meaningful life, but if we only have these relationships with people and leave out God, we still feel something is missing. And it is. That is why so many, who are married, blame their lack of fulfilment on their spouse – looking for them to fulfil the void only God can fill. Jesus tells us that beginning a relationship with God through Himself, through the person of Jesus Christ, is the most fulfilling relationship we an ever have. Only in that relationship, will we find inner peace, answers and fulfilment.

Good news – this relationship is offered to anyone when you follow Jesus!
