“Being justified freely without any cost, by His grace through the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:24).
One of the simplest definition’s of justified is “just as if I’d
never sinned.”
You have been made “just as if you had never sinned!”
“Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him” (Romans 4:8, NIV).
Never again will your sins be counted against you. That’s good news!
This justification has been given to you freely because of what Jesus
did for you on the Cross.
Redemption simply means “buying back.” Just like a kidnapped man
is bought back from his captor with ransom money, so Jesus bought you back from
the hands of the devil with His shed blood.
God is the Justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus (see Romans 3:26).
This justification and redemption does not depend on your performance,
it depends on your faith in Jesus and the fact that you are “in Him.”
Confession: Thank You, Father, for treating me “just as if I had
never sinned.” I cast down all thoughts of condemnation and meditate on the
free gift of righteousness that is mine because I am in Christ Jesus.
